On May 23, the China Campus Network (CCN) was invited to Bangkok, Thailand, to attend the “2026 Thailand International Chinese Education Cooperation and Innovation Seminar” and the “Inauguration Ceremony of the 21st Board of Directors of the Chinese Teachers Association of Thailand & Commendation Ceremony for Outstanding Chinese Teachers.” This invitation marks a strategic step for CCN in deepening Sino-Thai higher education cooperation and promoting high-quality study-in-China programs for Thai students.
During the day on the 23rd, the “2026 Thailand International Chinese Education Cooperation and Innovation Seminar” grandly opened in Bangkok. That evening, the Inauguration Ceremony of the 21st Board of Directors of the Chinese Teachers Association of Thailand and the Commendation Ceremony were grandly held. H.E. Zhang Jianwei, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand, attended and delivered a speech. Ambassador Zhang extended his warm congratulations to the newly inaugurated board and the commended outstanding Chinese teachers. He encouraged the Thai education sector to uphold fundamental principles and break new ground, making greater contributions to the high-quality development of Chinese education in Thailand, as well as promoting cultural exchanges and people-to-people connectivity between China and Thailand.
The event was attended by over 450 guests, including Pichet, Secretary-General of the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), and Monthon, Secretary-General of the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC) of the Thai Ministry of Education, along with Lin Chuqin, Chairman of the Thai Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Xu Huishen, Chairman of the Tio Chew Association of Thailand, as well as other key figures from political, business, and overseas Chinese circles, and representatives of the local Chinese community. While actively responding to the Embassy’s call to “promote high-quality educational development,” the CCN Thailand business development team is also working intensively on the localization of its strategic initiatives. It is reported that, taking the opportunity of this high-level event, CCN is currently engaged in in-depth cooperation discussions with several leading education groups, comprehensive education service providers, and “demonstration high schools” in Bangkok.
In response to the pain points in traditional study-in-China programs, such as “low language exam pass rates, difficulty in understanding academic lectures after enrollment, and narrow progression pathways,” CCN explicitly proposed the cooperation concept of “Academic Empowerment, Foundation First” during the negotiations. Relying on its robust academic research and teaching system backed by elite domestic universities, CCN will not only provide Thai local institutions with digital systems for Chinese language training, but is also committed to offering Thai students solid “subject knowledge foundation training for studying in China (International Foundation Program).”

“The core of studying abroad is not just language proficiency, but the seamless integration of professional knowledge,” stated a CCN representative during the meetings. Moving forward, CCN will join hands with local Thai partners. Relying on the construction of local foundation programme study centers, and through the deep integration of a standardized academic foundation program, CCN aims to help Thai students master basic and academic Chinese, as well as professional terminology and knowledge frameworks in subjects like mathematics, physics, and business in advance. This ensures that when Thai students enter top Chinese universities, they can not only “gain admission,” but also “excel academically, graduate successfully, and secure promising career prospects,” thereby cultivating more highly capable, interdisciplinary talents for Thailand who understand both the Chinese language and professional skills.
In the future, CCN will continue to leverage its pivotal role in “Study in China Pre-University Education.” By deeply advancing its localized and intelligent development strategy, CCN will bring top-tier educational resources to Thailand. By collaborating with excellent local institutions to build a new ecosystem for studying in China, CCN strives to ensure that the friendship and educational exchanges between the two nations are passed down from generation to generation.
