From Shanghai to Hangzhou: Vietnamese Students Begin Their Summer Study Tour with CCN STP | Part II

Hangzhou: A City of Digital Innovation, Heritage and Future Discovery
CCN has welcomed its first group of
30 students from Vietnam for
this summer’s Study Tour Programme (STP),
launching eight days of university visits,
cultural discovery and
innovation-focused visits in
Shanghai and Hangzhou.
After completing
the Shanghai section of the programme,
students travelled by high-speed rail
from Shanghai Hongqiao Station to
Hangzhou East Station,
experiencing one of China’s
most convenient and
efficient intercity transport systems.
01. Inside China’s Digital Economy: Alibaba Headquarters Visit
In Hangzhou, students visited Alibaba’s headquarters learn about one of China’s most influential technology companies. The visit introduced students to the role of e-commerce, digital platforms and innovation in shaping modern business and everyday life.
02.Future Mobility in Focus: Geely Automobile Visit
Students visited Geely Automobile to learn about China’s automotive industry and the development of future mobility. The visit offered insight into manufacturing, innovation and the role of Chinese enterprises in the global transport sector.
03.Hands-On Innovation: STEM HUB Robotics Session
The Hangzhou programme also included a visit to STEM HUB, where students joined a robotics-focused learning experience. The session connected technology with hands-on exploration, encouraging students to think creatively about engineering and future careers.
The Hangzhou chapter will bring this CCN STP experience to a strong close, extending students’ learning from Shanghai’s universities and city landmarks to Hangzhou’s digital economy, cultural heritage and future-focused industries.
As CCN’s first student group of 2026 STP, Vietnamese students have shown curiosity, confidence and enthusiasm throughout the journey. Their experiences in Shanghai and Hangzhou mark the beginning of a wider summer of CCN Study Tour Programmes, connecting young learners with China’s education, innovation and culture.
