What’s Special

As the capital city, Beijing is the political center, cultural center, international communication center and scientific and technological innovation center of China. It is a world-famous ancient capital and a modern international city.

Beijing is the area most densely packed with technology and talents in China and it is also a city that is the most exuberant in innovation and entrepreneurship activities and most suitable for business.

Over recent years, Beijing has been actively building itself into a scientific and technological innovation center with global influence, and speeding up its development into an international metropolis that is more open and integrated, full of innovation vitality, business-friendly and environment-friendly.

With its rich culture and long history, Beijing has seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites that have particular cultural, scientific or historical significance.

Sci-tech Innovation

Beijing has the “three science cities and one hi-tech area” program as the main platform for its center for scientific and technological innovation, including:

  • Zhongguancun Science Park;
  • Huairou Science City;
  • The Future Science City;
  • Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area.

The city is also building a number of world-class research institutes such as Beijing Academy of Quantum Information Sciences, Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, exploring new models with a stable supportive mechanism and a model for open-minded recruitment.
